Hello, my name is Helder Peixoto. I am a woodworker and I make custom handcrafted pieces that are both beautiful and functional. For as long as I can remember I’ve enjoyed making things. As a kid in Boy Scouts I loved the challenge of making camp gadgets and crafts out of downed trees and limbs with little more than some rope, an axe and a pocket knife. My draw to woodworking and creating is also influenced by my family. My father once owned a lumber mill and he influenced how I appreciate the beauty of natural wood. My mother is very skilled with a needle and I’ve watched her make incredibly beautiful crochets, needle points, and embroideries my entire life. I definitely owe my love to make, fix and fabricate things to my family. I am also eternally grateful for the motivation and support that my wife and kids give me.
